Ted’s Woodworking Review

There are many products about woodworking online and in magazines.  I have purchased a few of these and have found them not to be very detailed, and the instructions are usually complicated and hard to follow.  There are some good informational products out there, but you are going to have to dig around and find the right plan for your project.   This takes a lot time and can be very expensive.  That’s why Teds Woodworking plans are such an asset.

So exactly what is Teds Woodworking?

Teds Woodworking is a huge woodworking package that has over 16,000 woodworking plans, complete with videos that can be accessed easily and quickly.  The package has plans from a wide array of woodworking blueprints that are easy to follow and understand.

Woodworking is an enjoyable hobby that can be very rewarding.  I remember my first woodworking project I made in 4-H.  It was a birdhouse that took me weeks to figure out.  When it was done the feeling of doing something yourself with your own hands that would be used every day was great.  Anything that makes a useful addition to your home is nice, but if you make it yourself, it just adds something.

Wouldn’t it be awesome if you had easy access to thousands of woodworking ideas all in one location?

What if these projects were laid out in an easy to follow step by step plan that listed all the materials and tools you would need to complete it?

Well that is exactly what Ted McGrath did when he created Ted’s Woodworking.  He spent over two years compiling a list of the most sought after woodworking diagrams and blueprints.

This is what you will get:

  1. Detailed blueprints and diagrams from projects as small as a CD holder to large projects like horse barns and greenhouses.
  2. Each project shows tools and materials needed, which is a big time saver.
  3. Bonus articles showing different types of sandpaper and how to use them.  How to sharpen your tools, how to seal your wood to make it last longer. And the list just goes on and on.
  4. There are also videos, which help people like me who have a hard time following diagrams.
  5. You will have a hard time not finding the project you need in these plans.

The only fault I found with Teds Woodworking plans was sometimes locating a project.  There are so many categories that sometimes they can overlap each other.  But with over 16,000 woodworking projects you have to figure there is going to be some landing in the wrong place.  For the most part the listings are pretty well organized.  All the plans are located in one place and are easy to access.
